SRT D-Ticket Thailand: Official Website & Booking Guide
The official State Railway of Thailand booking portal is SRT D-Ticket at dticket.railway.co.th. ThailandTrain.org is an independent booking service. Use the official portal to search SRT trains and read the operator’s conditions; when comparing another seller, compare the same train, date, class and berth with all fees included.
How to identify the official SRT website
Open the complete D-Ticket address above or follow the booking link from the State Railway of Thailand website. A name containing “Thai Railways”, a familiar logo or a .co.th address by itself does not prove that a seller is the railway operator. Check the company identity, contact details and terms before entering passenger or payment details.
D-Ticket offers Thai and English. International travellers should use the identification option appropriate to their travel document and enter their name carefully. Follow the current registration and verification prompts: form fields and payment options can change, so a guide cannot guarantee that a particular phone number or card will be accepted.
Book the correct train in six steps
- Select the full origin and destination station names and the departure date. Bangkok has several stations; many long-distance trains use Krung Thep Aphiwat, while other services use Hua Lamphong or Thonburi.
- Compare the train number, departure time, arrival time and arrival date. An overnight journey usually arrives on the following day.
- Check the accommodation actually offered. A seat is not a sleeper; an upper berth differs from a lower berth, and buying one first-class berth does not necessarily reserve the whole compartment.
- Enter the passenger details required by the booking system, matching the travel document that will be used.
- Read the total payable amount, payment deadline, cancellation conditions and ticket-delivery instructions before paying.
- Check the issued ticket and retain it offline. An order receipt or successful payment is not a substitute for the travel document required by the issuer.
How far in advance can you book?
Do not assume that every train opens exactly 90 days ahead. SRT’s advance-sales rules depend on the service and the distance of the requested journey relative to the train’s route. The Thai government’s advance-booking guidance explains that some long-distance journeys may be available up to 180 days ahead, while shorter sections have tighter windows. Search your exact station pair and date in the current system.
No search result can mean that sales are not open, that the service is not sold through that channel, or that accommodation is unavailable. It does not by itself prove that the whole train is sold out. If you change dates or accept another class, verify the new journey carefully before payment.

If payment fails or confirmation is missing
Check the error message, payment status and booking history before paying again. If you see a charge but have no issued ticket, contact the booking channel with your order reference. Repeating a purchase without checking can create duplicate bookings. A bank authorisation, receipt or pending order should not be treated as a confirmed berth.
Check your travel documents and departure station
Review the passenger name, train number, class, berth or seat, departure and arrival dates, and both stations. Follow the issuer’s instructions for displaying, printing or collecting the ticket. Keep the original travel document available and leave time for any collection or assistance.
